An award-winning screenwriter and experienced stage director and performer for over twenty years, Heidi Lauren specializes in juicy historic adaptations.
Trained as an opera singer and Shakespearean actor, her Off-Broadway production of Richard III was hailed by the New York Times as "bold and beautiful." Her work has taken her to five European countries where she steeped in the languages and history of the Old World.
She studied directing at University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, and also holds a degree from Vanderbilt University in music and theatre, where she won several awards in writing.
Her many other interesting adventures include navigating real estate in Post-9/11 Brooklyn. She has also owned and operated a picturesque inn on Vermont's Caspian Lake called Highland Lodge, and designed lights at the Cartier Mansion in New York. She has made Clint Eastwood laugh, Tina Fey smile, and Jeff Goldblum wink knowingly.
Heidi Lauren writes and directs stories about the ability of even the most invisible women and marginalized men to make a profound mark upon the world.
