Lorca en Nueva York is a poetic journey through twenty-four hours in New York City, through the lens of Federico García Lorca.
This was an ensemble-driven creation using the guitar music of Spanish composer Anthony Ocaña, Federico García Lorca's poems from his travels to New York City, and the songs from his native Grenada, which he arranged himself.
Lorca en Nueva York was created and performed by Anthony Ocaña, Sayda Trujillo, Carmine Aufiero, Laura Bohn and Heidi Lauren Duke, and produced in Barcelona and New York. Jeff Haley was also part of the New York ensemble.
